Floral Trellis

I just love this design. My cousin Pam is the one who came up with it. I made some changes in it using a different strap on it and it has become such a favorite. There are so many color combo's you can use, this one is aqua blues and peachy corals. I thought this was such a eye pleasing combination. I love glass pearls and I use them to attach the strap to the flower base. The base has pressed glass flowers & leaves plus I've made flowers out of drops, petals and other horizonally drilled beads.

Spring Melon's

I love it when the watermelon and cantelope start coming in. The rich colors of their ripeness so juicy and refreshing. Well this necklace reminds me of that. The flowers simple with there gold edges and the curling leaves. I also used 4 tear drop crystal along the bottom edge. This is a new strap for me called Herringbone Twisted Ribbon...fun to make but a little time consuming.

Champayne Bliss

Back when I was in the hospital for those 59 days I started this necklace made with rivoli's and many 4 mm crystals and a cubic zircona drop. Like most of us I put it down and didn't pick it up for several months. Well I finally finished it and I am most pleased with it. I used silk crystals along with silk and peach rivoli's and the large rivoli is a paparaska. I finished it off with the cubic zircona drop that was a darker peach color. This all went together so well that I've started using many more rivolis in my work.

Bag Lady Challenge

My bead society the Bead Society of Central Florida held a challenge recently. Everyone that wanted to participate was given a bag and ask to put at least 5 items in it along with our bracelet length or necklace length and name. Each bag was closed and then we picked a bag. I got a dear friends bag and she had put in assorted green and blue seed beads along with a small bag czech glass beads. This is what I made for her along with matching earrings. I had to add some things to round it all out. Anna was so happy with this that she made her self a matching bracelet.

Reunion Rose

I have some of my pieces on display at Renningers Antique Mall in Mt. Dora, Florida not far from here in Orlando. My friend Patti and her husband have a shop there. She loves my work so she set up a display of it. This has generated some great custom orders for me. This one here was for a lady who was going to her 40th class reunion (I think she said 40th), anyway she told me she was wearing a very simple black outfit and wanted a floral design in Red & Black. Here is what we came up with. The neck strap has siam 4 mm crystals in it, the large flower has a red/purple rivoli I also used crystals for the center fringe, she really loved it and I hope you do too. The picture is kind of dark as I took it while I was in the hospital, I hope you can get an idea of what it looked like. With my son's help I got it photographed and in the mail so she would have it on time.

Thank Heaven for Flowers

Here a couple more necklaces I've made lately...I was very blessed with one of them..the Floral
Trellis piece. I finished it on a Wednesday and sold it on Thursday. The first person I showed it to fell in love with it and had to have it..Thanks Patti!
The first one is done in a new color of bead I just ordered and I fell in love with it. It is kind of a watermelon shade but because of the SB finish it has a peachy pink cast to it. I used glass pearls for the flower centers and made the leaves out of a coppery color bead.

My Mom's Wish List

Because I was so sick last Christmas and also for my mom's 85th birthday she didn't receive gifts from me. Once I started feeling better she put in her request for a yellow as well as an orchid piece. She loves necklaces so that is what I set about to make. I finally surprised her this past weekend with them. The yellow one was for christmas wrapped for Christmas and the orchid one was for her 85th birthday. She loved them both and it made me feel so good to see her so happy.
